Making an independent movie is a challenge and we here at HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS want to help you get your film on the path to success with all of the recognition, notoriety and accolades you deserve.

Once your indie film is complete, marketing your movie with the right credentials and advertising tools becomes essential.

As HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS and FESTIVAL is committed to showcasing TRULY independent films, we are dedicated to finding those "hidden gems" that may otherwise be overlooked by the bigger festivals because of the lack of name recognition or budget.

In our 6th year, we are thrilled to announce that we will be screening selected winning films at PARAMOUNT STUDIOS in Hollywood on November 8, 2020. Invaluable exposure for your hard work! ***DUE TO THE CURRENT WORLDWIDE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE LIVE SCREENING DATE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Our live screening event at Paramount Studios will include a day of festivities including multiple screenings, filmmaker Q&A's, red carpet arrivals and photographs and delivering of awards to winning filmmakers.

JUDGING

Located in the heart of Hollywood, the judges of HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS range from former studio executives and talent managers to award winning independent filmmakers with a combined experience of over 40 years in the entertainment industry.

If your film is selected for an an AWARD, you will be notified via email as an "Official Selection" and you will receive an "Official Selection" laurel.

Each category will have their own set of AWARDS that will be broken down into the sections below:

FEATURE FILM (in the genres: Drama, Comedy, Horror, SciFi and LGBT; each genre will be voted on separately and receive their own set of Awards)

AWARDS:

BEST PICTURE
GOLD AWARD
SILVER AWARD
BRONZE AWARD

The "BEST PICTURE" winner from each genre (Drama, Comedy, Horror and LGBT) will receive an engraved statuette and an in-depth written interview with the filmmaker that will not only appear on the HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS website and blog, but additionally it will be sent out in a WORLDWIDE press release and promoted via our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.

The "BEST OF FESTIVAL" winner will receive an engraved statuette and an in-depth written interview with the filmmaker that will not only appear on the HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS website and blog, but additionally it will be sent out in a WORLDWIDE press release and promoted via our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.

LIVE SCREENINGS

LIVE SCREENINGS will be selected among the WINNERS of the HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS. Not all category WINNERS will receive a live screening.

WINNING projects chosen to screen, will be honored to show their film on the back lot at PARAMOUNT STUDIOS in Hollywood, California, along with a red carpet and filmmaker Q&A.
